Bird watching or birding is a great interest for young and old. Wherever you live, whatever you do, there are always birds that provide a connection to the natural environment. This event provides a short introduction to
birding and the common birds of Qatar, followed by a "Birding
Treasure Hunt" through Al Bidda Park. Bring your kids for some fun in the Park and to celebrate Sustainability Week with the Qatar Natural History Group. All welcome!
What to bring?
- Plenty of water and some snacks
- Hat and sunscreen
- Binoculars, camera and bird book if you have them!
- Pen or pencils

Activities leaders biographies:
Robert Moorhead is an Australian engineer who has been in Qatar since 2012. Robert is the QNHG Ramble (Birding) Coordinator and is passionate about the environment and history, is a keen bird watcher, and enjoys running and cricket.
Ouahiba is QNHG member since 2011 joined the QNHG committee in 2015. A novice but passionate birder. Ouahiba managed to identify 30 birds species in Bidda park, can you do better?
