WELCOME TO THE START OF OUR 41st SEASON OF THE QNHG

We welcome members and non-members alike and do not charge for our monthly talks. Doors will open at 6:00 PM this month. This allows time to join us for light refreshments, pay your membership dues, and to peruse the QNHG library before the meeting begins at 7:00 PM and mingle with other members. As this is the first meeting of the membership year our Membership tables will be open at 6:00 PM.

Synopsis of talk

During this presentation participants will be learning very simple and actionable steps they can take to love a more sustainable life in Qatar. 

Short biography

Operations manager turned environmentalist. Jose Saucedo is an Industrial engineer from the US with a passion for nature and the outdoors. He has been living in Qatar for 2 years and is determined to be a positive influence in our Community.


Jose Saucedo became the Director of Doha Environmental Actions Project (DEAP) in April 2018. DEAP, a volunteer organization, was founded in May 2017 by Jeanne Bédard Brown, with a mission to lead the effort against plastic pollution in Qatar, through the beach cleanup movement.To this day, DEAP has completed 122 organized cleanups, involving 5,700 volunteers, and Jose has led over 40 school and corporate presentations as efforts to sensitize and educate the public on issues of sustainable living, plastic pollution and other pertinent environmental issues.
