Summary of Presentation :

Al Karaana Lagoons have been used for years as an industrial sewage dumping area. Qatar (Ashghal) decided to clean the area to preserve environment. Despite the pollution, wildlife developed naturally thanks to the presence of water, in the middle of the desert.

In addition to the main objective to clean up the area and bring it back to its previous undisturbed state, the parties eventually committed to go beyond contract obligation in order to enhance the wildlife zone.
