Our jump-off event of the season is shaping up to be another visit to the wonderful, private, and ever popular Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al-Thani Museum and Farm. We will meet at the museum around 8:30 AM for the tour that begins at 9:00. We expect to finish around 12:30. While arranging this visit, I discovered that a new branch of the museum is now open, so even if you have visited the museum before you may have a completely new experience!
 
Our list for this trip is already full, but if you are already on the list of alternates, plan on coming unless you hear from the organizer.

Time: The tour starts at 9:00 AM

Rendezvous: Meet at Sheikh Faisal's Museum
Directions: The museum's website leaves out some important information. In order to get to the museum from Doha on the Dukhan Highway, you must drive west, towards Dukhan. Once you pass the Umm Alafaee Petrol Station on your right, you will soon go past the museum, which will be on your left, on the east bound side of the highway. To get to the museum, you must go on for a kilometer or two more, and use the left side turn around. Once east bound back towards Doha, watch for the signs. Take the right turn and go straight back to the museum. For those of you who have a GPS here are the coordinates:  N 25 21.167 E51 15.283

Since our jump-off event of the season was so popular, another visit to the wonderful, private, and ever popular Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al-Thani Museum and Farm has been arranged. Meet at the museum after 8:30 AM for the tour that begins at 9:00 - DO NOT go too early, as the Trip Leader, in this case, Michael Lesser, will need to present a letter of invitation to the guard at the gate before anyone may enter. Expect to finish at 12:00.
 
The list for this trip is already quite full, made up of alternates who could were not able to go on the first list. If you are already on the list of alternates, plan on coming unless you hear differently from the organizer, John Tribuna. If you cannot make this trip, or if you want to go on it  (six slots are still available as of Oct. 19th), send a text to John at 605.6762; please, no calls!
