Ramble Summary

On this ramble we will explore some of Qatar’s geology and how humans and the arid environment affect the rocks and; shape the landscape. We’ll do a morning ramble in a unique landscape in western Qatar. As usual, we may also encounter birds, wildlife, and desert plants, so be prepared for anything!

Trip Leader Bio

(Dr. Treena Bron)

Dr Treena Bron is a geologist (BScHon, PhD) with expertise in sedimentology, petroleum geology, planetary geology and environment. She has worked in research, industry and academia and done fieldwork worldwide from Africa to Canada, from Arctic to Outback. She is a passionate naturalist and an environmental advocate.
