Speaker Bio
Mohamed M. Hassona is a Senior Horticulturist at the Qur’anic Botanic Garden, Qatar Foundation. With over 19 years of experience in sustainable agriculture and conservation, he has led numerous initiatives aimed at preserving native plant species, promoting food security, and advancing sustainable development within the MENA region. Mohamed’s work integrates traditional practices with modern conservation techniques, emphasizing the significance of heritage plants mentioned in the Qur’an and Hadith. His dedication to environmental stewardship has been instrumental in expanding Qatar’s plant conservation programs and educating the community on sustainable practices.
